The two biggest differences are the difference between the fabric and the fill.
The fabric of the outer layer of the puffer jacket is usually a poly-cotton blend, pure polyester (light), and other relatively thick, dense fabric. The filling is mainly made of cotton or down cotton synthetic material. It can be found that part of our puffer jackets is the use of light materials.
The outer fabric of the down jacket is common with anti-velvet nylon thick, TC fabric. These two fabrics have the role of anti-drilling velvet, waterproof and windproof, and filled with a certain amount of duck down, and goose down to keep warm. And our down jacket is filled with white duck down.
Choosing a good down jacket must be judged by five aspects: padding, filling, fluffiness, puffiness, and fabric.
First of all, goose down is the highest warmth and comfort, of course, the price is also the highest, duck down ranked second.
Lint content refers to the percentage of all the padding in the down show, and usually, the lint content with good warmth is 90%. And our down jacket is filled with 90% white duck down, cost performance is the highest.
The full amount refers to the weight of all the down, which is the most important factor that determines the use of a down jacket.
The higher the fill power, the better the thermal performance of the down jacket. Our regular down jacket fill level should be 180g-250g. The volume level should be 600-700.
Because down shrinks into a ball after being immersed in water, the warmth is greatly reduced. Therefore, the choice of down fabric is also very important. At present, the outer fabric in the market must be wrinkle-resistant, windproof, waterproof, and other functions. The fabric of our down jacket is 40D fabric, which is relatively dense and strong, and has been waterproofed.
The only difference between them is the color. There is no difference in warmth.
